• Some of the health centres we work in have a hard flat wooden bed for mothers to give birth on.

• The plastic covering has worn off on other beds exposing the foam mattress which now contains the results of childbirth!

• Equipment we take for granted such a foetal and blood pressure monitors, resuscitation bags and pinards are in short supply.

Pinards cost £5, a pot of paint £10 and good beds about £900. So any amount you can give towards this need will help.
